Would you like to spend the night in aunique place in the center of Rotterdam with your family? That's the question that Kids Proof asked themselves and they ended up at Hostel ROOM Rotterdam: "a hidden gem in the center of Rotterdam, for a small price per night."
Finding spacious and affordable accommodation for your family is often difficult, let alone if you are looking for a unique location. Hostel ROOM is located within a characteristic national monument from 1923 in the Scheepsvaartkwartier near the Euromast, the Erasmus Bridge, various museums, and parks.
ROOM has spacious & affordable familyrooms where you can enjoy the experience and spend the night. A family room is suitable for 3 or more people, so you can keep your little ones close by, and the whole family can enjoy being in the same room.
On the ground floor we have our foyer with our cosy bar and lounge area, along with our reception where you can make yourself at home. And most importantly, we also have a selection of games for you to enjoy, just check out our cupboard full of family games or enjoy shuffleboard or table football. If you want to relax, you can also ask the reception to switch on the beamer with Chromecast so you can stream from your own device. Hungry? We can serve pizzas and sandwiches right from the kitchen, and of course we can help you find a restaurant also, or you can order something take away or delivery and eat it in the hostel, there are plenty of options!
There is a lot to see and experience withinwalking distance from the hostel. Take a walk around and see the sights, visit the Euromast where you can also enjoy mini golf, around the corner there is the Spido, and you can always get out and do some shopping at the local supermarket and then head to Het Park for a picnic when the sun is shining.
The museums are all open, but remember you need to book your time slot to enter, so check online first. You can check out the Maritime Museum, the Wereldmuseum, and the Natural History Museum all nearby.
Other fun things to do are the Zoo at Blijdorp (discount cards available at the reception), take the watertaxi to Hotel NewYork and then via the Kop van Zuid to the Fenix Food Factory where they have a food hall full of great choices for food and drink and seats outside also with a view. From the same watertaxi you can also check out the historic ship the SS Rotterdam, supercool!
